CORE THEOLOGICAL CONVICTIONS
Theology matters, and it makes up the core of my interpretation of how to engage in ministry with young people and their families. In this section of my portfolio, I outline the core theological convictions that ground my work in children, youth, and family ministry. The series of videos below showcase these convictions.
INTRODUCTION
Three themes have emerged during my seminary studies that influence my core theological commitments to ministry. Learn more about these themes, and their accompanying theological commitments, while watching this introductory video.
PROMISE: THE THEOLOGY OF THE CROSS
The promises of a loving, liberating, and life-giving God come to us through the cross and the crucifixion of Jesus Christ.
COMMUNITY: RECONCILIATION AND SHARING THE EUCHARIST
Forming and transforming Christian community happens through the hard work of reconciliation, and by sharing in the sacrament of Eucharist.
NEIGHBOR: THEOLOGY OF INCARNATION AND IMAGO DEI
We are called to love our neighbor because we all are made in the image and likeness of God.
